How to beat the computer
Early on, avoid adding the third side to an empty box — it gives your opponent an easy point. Later, boxes form chains. Sometimes the best move is to sacrifice a short chain so you can collect a longer one.
Choose your rival
Casual makes opportunistic moves and is ideal for learning. Clever takes available boxes and avoids obvious gifts. Sharp reads capture chains, searches ahead and solves the final twelve lines of a 3×3 board exactly.
