How well do you know the flags of Africa?
Africa has the widest range of any region here: pan-African red, gold and green recur constantly, but the arrangements, emblems and star placements rarely repeat exactly.
What to look for
Watch the band direction and the emblem. Several flags share the same three colours and differ only in whether the bands run vertically or horizontally, and in what sits at the centre.
How are the questions chosen?
Each UTC day has one deterministic deck for Africa, dealt in ten-question laps, so no answer repeats until the region’s 54 flags are exhausted. Every wrong option is drawn from Africa as well — a distractor from another continent would give the answer away by elimination.
Are territories included?
No. This set covers the 54 United Nations member states in Africa and excludes dependencies, subdivisions and disputed territories, so the quiz never makes a political classification on your behalf.
Can screen-reader users play?
Yes. Every flag carries a text description of its visible colours, shapes and emblems. It gives the same clue without naming the answer.
