How well do you know the flags of Europe?
Europe is where flag design repeats itself most: tricolours in three orientations, five Nordic crosses and a run of red-white-blue combinations that differ only in order.
What to look for
The classic traps are the vertical tricolours — the order of the bands is often the only difference — and the Nordic crosses, which are separated by colour rather than by shape.
How are the questions chosen?
Each UTC day has one deterministic deck for Europe, dealt in ten-question laps, so no answer repeats until the region’s 43 flags are exhausted. Every wrong option is drawn from Europe as well — a distractor from another continent would give the answer away by elimination.
Are territories included?
No. This set covers the 43 United Nations member states in Europe and excludes dependencies, subdivisions and disputed territories, so the quiz never makes a political classification on your behalf.
Can screen-reader users play?
Yes. Every flag carries a text description of its visible colours, shapes and emblems. It gives the same clue without naming the answer.
